International Light Art Award 2017

The Centre for International Light Art Unna and RWE Stiftung für Energie und Gesellschaft announce the 2nd edition of the INTERNATIONAL LIGHT ART AWARD. A renowned international jury awards promising artists whose work gives insight into what the future of light art might look like. The award ceremony takes place in April 2017 at the Centre for International Light Art Unna, accompanied by a 5-month exhibition presenting the 1st to 3rd place winners. Production costs up to 10,000 € for the realisation of the three finalists’ installations will be covered by the host. The winner receives prize money of 10,000 €.

Bloom Award by Warsteiner

BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER is looking for artists from around the world who are working at the interface of different art forms. Visual arts, Design, Urban art or Video – there are no limitations to the artistic potential. The international art competition focuses on courage, innovation and progressiveness. Ten shortlisted artworks  will be presented at a special exhibition in the context of BLOOOM – the converging art show within the scope of ART.FAIR | Fair for modern and contemporary art in Cologne, Germany. The application period for the seventh edition of BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER is now open. 

Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary 2016/17

The annual Shape Arts Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary (ARMB), set up in memory of sculptor Adam Reynolds to support mid-career disabled artists, is now open for submissions.

This year’s successful recipient will be awarded £7,000 and a three-month residency at Turner Contemporary, Margate from February to April 2017.

Faena Prize 2016

FAENA ART invites international artists across disciplines to submit proposals for the Faena Prize, considered one of the most prestigious prizes in the Americas. The$75,000 USD prize will awarded to winning proposals for the creation of new site-sensitive work that engages with temporality and duration as prime materials while taking into account the specific context of Faena Art Center Buenos Aires.

KRAFTA DOC documentary films

KRAFTA DOC International - Art Making Film Festival is the first international documentary film festival about making art. They have now issued an open call for any type of filmmaker, independent, established, groups or collectives, commercial or educational institutions to submit their films. The competition is open to short films and feature films about art making, with no limitations in style or production budget.

First Ever Ibero-american Arts Award

First ever Ibero-American Arts Award calls for artists to explore the concept of "Utopia". The Embassy of Brazil to the UK, in partnership with ACALASP (the Association of Cultural Attachés of Latin America, Spain and Portugal), People’s Palace Projects (Queen Mary University of London) and Itaú, is currently inviting entries for its Ibero-American Arts Award. Following the pre-selection process conducted by the curatorial committee, up to 30 artworks will then go on display for three weeks at the Embassy of Brazil. A jury will judge the final selection. Cash prizes are to be given to the jury’s first (£3,000) and second (£1,000) choices. There will be a third cash prize winner (£1,000) for the visiting public’s favourite artwork.
