Statement :

I always thought that getting lost to find your way back is the only way to find yourself as well. One day I got lost and took a paintbrush in my hand: the sketches and "tentacles" I created came to life and started moving toward infinite horizons.
My art is color and energy, cyanotype absorbs the sun rays that transform it and bring it to life. This is my approach to what I create, my main subjects are abstract worlds full of details, each tentacle is a portion of reality that seems to come to life in front of the viewer of the canvas; sometimes some faces appear, unrecognizable, perhaps never really existed, they seem to come from distant times, almost primitive.

Bio:

Simone Giai is a painter based in Italy, he started his creative process with graffiti back in 2016.
As a self taught-artist he experimented with various media during the years, the sun was always the engine of his realisations and for that reason it became essential.
Like a chemist he started to create his idea using cyanotype and developing his canvas under the sun rays: the entire body of work started to grow with new shapes and colours.
