My artwork gains it's inspiration from architecture and the urban, the cityscapes in which we live and are surrounded by. I am continually driven by the energy of colour and it's effects on a scene. Recent technology, particularly the digital cameras found on smartphones, have enabled me to harness unusual low level lighting conditions on buildings and this has been a focus for my work at present.
Although I have been inspired by past artists such as Edward Hopper and Giorgio Morandi, I love seeing contemporary, thought provoking paintings by Anna Conway, prints by Simon Tozer and photography by Russell Watkins.

I am an artist based in Lymington, Hampshire.I trained at Bournville School of Art (ND Art and Design) Wimbledon School of Art (BA Hons) and the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam (1993 - 94), After working many years freelance on a number of projects in London and Oxford, I now work from my studio in Lymington. In 2018 I featured in the tv series Sky Arts Landscape Artist of The Year and my work has been shortlisted for the RA Summer Exhibition (RA250).
