ARTSY MOOD | OPEN CALL

The last two years have been very challenging and unprecedented for our generation and while most of the industries stopped working, the artists have done what they always do- working hard in their studios. 

The purpose of this exhibition is to celebrate the commitment of contemporary artists & to connect them with a new and wider audience. 

There are no subject restrictions for this call just a couple of guidelines.

To apply for “Artsy Mood” simply email us 3 images of your work (3 different works) in a jpeg format, Title_ Size_ Medium_ Price (for each work) and a short bio no more than 150 words at boomergallery@gmail.com.

SHINE Emerging Artist Programme 2021

Light Up the North (LUTN) is a network of 6 light festivals across the north of England. In 2021, four of the festivals are joining together to award funding to emerging artists working with light, to produce and exhibit new commissions at  their 2021 light festivals. 

The SHINE programme aims to nurture and develop new talent, giving artists the opportunity to exhibit or perform new work at four of the LUTN festivals (Light Night Leeds, Light Up Lancaster, Lightwaves at Salford Quays and Lightpool in Blackpool). Up to two artists or collectives will be awarded substantial commissions of up to £10K to realise ambitious new artworks.  Some basics - the artwork(s) will need to:

Brave new world

We’re Non Space and since most galleries are still closed, we’ve decided to host a virtual exhibition online. We’re currently seeking submissions and would love to see your work!

Brave New World 

We have lived through a year of turmoil. A year of lockdown. Normal is the new abnormal. How are we. How are you? How am I. How is the world. What do we envision. What do we fear. What have we lived through. Who do we blame. Who do we look up to. What do we want?

The exhibition theme is open for interpretation. We want to explore the feelings that we have experienced during a year when everything changed. What have we been through and what do we wish to see in our future?
