Rising: Climate in Crisis Residencies at A Studio in the Woods invite artists to face the severity of the climate crisis and be agents of change to guide our collective understanding, response, and vision as we shape our shared future. Rising Residencies provide artists with a 6 week residency, $3000 stipend, $2000 materials budget, and staff support to foster critical thinking and creation of new works. Open to artists of all disciplines. Applications due March 10, 2022.

The DigitalArt4Climate Art Competition, organized by IAAI GloCha in collaboration with the UN-Habitat youth programme, Unique Network, Social Alpha Foundation, Exquisite Workers and Palette69 wants to inspire and promote climate action through the power of culture and technology and empower the uptake of digital innovation by the creative community in an accessible and meaningful way.

Global Day of Creative Action

Micro Galleies is calling out to creatives to join us in our Global Day of Creative Action, where artists come together to create and draw attention to climate change in our communties, around the world. The Global Day of Creative Action is on November 6, and is a free, open platform for anyone who wants to use creativity in their community, to draw attention the environment. The 24 hour project will take place to coincide with the COP26 in Glasgow (the 26th United Nations Climate Change conference).

We are inviting artists to submit proposals for a visually arresting exhibition to be presented in WaterAid’s exhibition space at COP26 (Glasgow), responding to the theme of ‘The climate change and water story, as told by youth’. We believe it is essential to engage young people on issues relating to the future of their planet and to use our platforms to further amplify their voices.
