Mind Body Spirit

J. Mane Gallery invites submissions for its mind body spirit online juried art exhibition.

Oscar Wilde said, "Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter."

Throughout history, the human figure has always been a common subject of visual art, involving the study and appreciation of it's beauty in it's depiction and presentation.  An awareness of the body shape, including postures like sitting, standing or sleeping and movements such as walking, running or dancing, speak to the ideal subject.

Backroads 2: Further On Ahead

"Backroads 2: Further On Ahead" seeks to expand the popular 2021 theme of "art, less traveled".  This exhibit showcases works of art that venture off the beaten path, especially with regard to travel. Artwork could include places or experiences involving hidden gems, special or unusual places, wanderings, odd travel, strange encounters, and/or lost and fading places.  "Further On Ahead" is a summer exhibit, and could convey a sense of summer fun in the works (i.e. not winter), and that the journey never ends...

Works can be from any medium, and are accepted from Emerging, Mid-Career, and/or Professional Artists.

"Backroads 2: Further On Ahead" In-Person opening reception party will be held Saturday, July 9th, 2022 at 6 PM.
