Application for group exhibition at Aplomb gallery March 19 - May 19, 2022 and in VR during April, 2022.

Submit up to 5 works with a focus on eyes to be considered for a group show at Aplomb Contemporary Portrait Gallery. Juried by Gallery Director Danielle Festa.

About the Juror

Danielle Festa has been working as a conceptual realist since graduating with a BFA contrating in painting from UMASS Amherst in 2007. She has curated exhibitions in Boston, Somerville, MA, Dover, NH and in Virtual Reality. She is a member of NHAA, The Women's Caucus of the Arts and was the Director of the first Friday Dover Art Walk from 2017-2020. She now owns and operates Aplomb Contemporary Portrait Gallery where she exhibits group shows, solo shows and presents her own commissioned tribute oil portraits.

Submission Guidelines

Two dimensional and three dimensional ready to hang artwork in all mediums will be considered. Multimedia works are also accepted. Aplomb Contemporary Portrait Gallery is located in Dover, NH. Applicants from any geographic location may apply but they should be ready to ship or bring work in person. Opening date to be decided. Depending on the status of COVID-19, masks, limited attendance or vaccination proof may be required for the artist and guests. Alternatively, artists may choose to apply to the VR exhibition only at reduced fee. The VR exhibition is accessible by PC/Mac or Oculus Quest. The application fee of $35 USD for in person/VR exhibition or $25 for just the VR exhibition is non-refundable. Artists will retain 70% from sales while Aplomb Gallery retains a 30% commission.

All entries must be original and completed solely by the artist’s hand. Images of accepted works may be used at the sole discretion of Aplomb for promotional purposes. Images will include attribution wherever possible.

Application Deadline: February 11, 2022.

Artists will be selected and informed by February 18, 2022.
