ORNAMENTA CALLING FOR ARTISTS

Join a regenerated cultural programme in the Black Forest Region. Send in your work for exhibitions or proposals for new works to be presented as part of the Ornamenta programme in 2023 and 2024. The curators and team of Ornamenta invite artists to exhibit or perform their work in a programme of various activities that collectively explore the notion of regionalism through five topics; Das Inhalatorium, Das Solartal, Bad Databrunn, Zum Eros and Die Schmutzige Ecke.

ABOUT ORNAMENTA

The Ornamenta is a programme of exhibited works, performances and other activities based on a series of open calls and curated exhibitions taking place from May-September 2023 and May-September 2024. The programme is primarily informed by a gathering of artists, educators, researchers, curators, photographers, designers and other makers and thinkers to present and share their works in the context of speculative neighborhoods in the German Black Forest region. The event takes places in Region Nordschwarzwald, Enzkreis and Pforzheim and is performed by all respondents to the open calls, invited guests, the Ornamenta team and curators Jules van den Langenberg, Katharina Wahl and Willem Schenk.
