BIG INK Visits Dedee Shattuck Gallery, Wesport, MA

BIG INK will host a monumental woodblock printing event at Dedee Shattuck Gallery this Spring. Artists interested in carving a woodblock of at least 24 by 36 inches are invited to apply to print with us. No prior experience is required and emerging, mid-career, and established visual artists are encouraged to apply. Upon acceptance, artists have two months to carve their designs. We then meet at the gallery in Westport, MA and help each other print as a group. The public is invited to witness the demonstration and a printing bonanza ensures!

Participation includes access to BIG INK’s woodblock carving video course leading up to the event, paper, ink, cleaning supplies, equipment usage, technical expertise during the event, and a high-res scan of the finished print. It is free to submit an application; accepted artists pay $300 to participate.
