For centuries Artists have been the scribes of humanity, expressing what is happening both in the world around them and in their unique inner landscapes. 2020 was an unprecedented year worldwide marked by a pandemic, as well as cultural, political and racial divisions. 2020 may possibly be seen as paradigm shift going forward. How is our rapidly changing world shaping the art you create? Please submit current work that expresses your experience of this extraordinary time.

Calling artists in all mediums to submit images and works responding to these “Unprecedented” times. (No entries larger than 48″x48″ or heavier than 50 lbs., please). The show will be juried by Melinda Cootsona.

Call for Artists - Emerging & Underrepresented Artists

At Orenda Art Works, we believe in the importance of investing in the arts. We are a group founded to provide enriching artistic experiences to art makers and art lovers alike. The programming at Orenda Art Works underscores the vital importance creative expression and cultural exchange has to our community. 

Orenda Art Works is looking to award emerging and underrepresented artists with virtual solo exhibitions. Currently, the calendar year from mid-April to the Fall is being planned. Virtual exhibitions will also be accompanied by salon-style openings in the physical space, the ArtBox. The ArtBox is a private space, not open to the public, and is by appointment only. 

DESERTED SHORE

Group show

Magenta gallery invites local artists working in sculpture to participate in a group exhibition in March 2021.

The work can be in ceramic, wood, stone or glass for the theme: DESERTED SHORE. 

Submitted sculptures must be made within the last three years.

The exhibited work will be displayed in the window and the gallery space for approximately three weeks. The exhibition will also include an online viewing of the artwork. 

41st Annual SECURA Fine Arts Exhibiton

Northeast Wisconsin’s top competitive, juried fine arts exhibition returns for its 41st year. The 41st Annual SECURA Fine Arts Exhibition will feature work from over 80 of Wisconsin’s finest visual artists. Monetary prizes are awarded to the top-juried pieces. The Trout Museum of Art is excited to share the incredible talent of artists who call Wisconsin home.

Summary:

NYC Health + Hospitals Arts in Medicine (AIM), with support from the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund and the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City, is seeking a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for lead artists to work on the NYC Health + Hospitals Community Murals Project (CMP). Continuing the tradition established in the 1930s when the Works Progress Administration supported hundreds of murals across New York City’s public hospitals, the CMP will connect artists and local community members to re-imagine hospitals and promote greater neighborhood wellness.

Call for Submissions: BIPOC Curatorial Fellow @Evanston Art Center

 Program Overview:

The Evanston Art Center (EAC), an artistic hub on the North Shore for over ninety years, believes that some

communities are all too rarely represented in the curatorial world. To address this situation, the EAC is building a

recurrent, project-based position for a curator who will work with the EAC to develop an exhibition of their

choosing. The EAC is specifically seeking a Black, Indigenous or Person of Color (BIPOC) curator with ties to

communities of color in Evanston and the Chicago Metro-area to create an exhibition, along with related materials.

The curator will choose the subject, theme and content of the exhibition with the EAC acting as a facilitator. It is the
