Compass Live Art – Artist Residencies

Compass Live Art invites residency proposals from artists working in any medium whose practice is based in public engagement – artists who are interested in collaborating with the public to make work. Selected artists will be invited to Leeds in 2023 to develop ideas in a mixture of studio time and public-facing activity.

This may include meetings, events or pop-ups with individuals, groups and networks of particular relevance to the subject matter of your proposal. It might include public consultation, research or scratch exhibitions. The residency can be crafted to the needs of the project.

Art League of Long Island Resident Artist Membership 2022-2023

The Resident Artist Membership is an opportunity for 4 Long Island based visual and interdisciplinary
artists to develop their craft at the Art League of Long Island. Become a leader in a creative
community that has thrived for over 65 years!

Utilize the Art League’s state-of-the-art studios and extensive offerings of classes to expand your skill
set. This is a great opportunity for those artists who are interested in finding mentorship, learning a
new medium, and developing the skills and confidence to teach. The Artist Residency Membership
will culminate in the opportunity to teach a One Day Workshop that is open to the general public
alongside Art League students and members.

Call for Speakers and Performing Artists

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has opened the call for artists and cultural contributers in the destinations we visit. The aim of the program is to bring talent on board to share their art and expertise with our guests. The program will engage local talent in our ports of call so that guests can gain a local perspective and gain a better understanding of the destination’s cultural landscape.

We're visiting the following destinations in the summer of 2022. If you reside in one of the following locations and have a program idea, we want to hear from you!

Audiovisual Collaboration: Building & Performing (phase 2) with Romain Tardy, Loran Delforge, Zoe Mc Pherson, Alessandra Leone And Stacie Ant

CAMP is a residential arts facility in the French Pyrenees. It's a place where great art is made, new movements are formed, new ideas are explored and groundbreaking people are nurtured. CAMP is located in Aulus les Bains, the last village before the France/Spain Pyrenean frontier chain. The location is spectacular - we are nestled at 750m above sea level, surrounded by snowcapped peaks over 3000m high, ancient forests and cascading waterfalls. There are eagles, lammergeiers, vultures, ibex and bears. Walk out of the residency, and within ten minutes you are completely alone in one of the most beautiful mountain landscapes in Europe.

Audiovisual Collaboration: Building & Performing (phase 1) with Tarik Barri, Dejha Ti And Konx Om Pax

This is the first in a two-week series exploring the space and connections between audio and visual art - the second workshop is here. Both workshops stand alone, they are complete events within themselves, and can be taken separately. However, for maximum depth of experience we recommend signing up to both and staying two weeks. What's more, if you sign up to both, you get a 50% discount on the second one and free accommodation in between the two sessions! Just book workshop 1, and drop us a line for your discount code.
