Last call VIA Arts Prize

The VIA Arts Prize seeks to promote the considerable global and historical reach of Latin American and Iberian culture. UK-based artists of any nationality are invited to submit an original artwork specifically inspired by Ibero-American arts and culture. Submission is free and welcomes all mediums excluding film and performance art. Call for Entries closes on Monday 30 September.

The winner receives £5,000 from prize sponsor Itaù and a solo show at the Embassy of Brazil next year. Second place wins £2,000 and the final 30 shortlisted works will feature in a group show at the Embassy this November. The winning artist will be announced at an award ceremony on Tuesday 12 November 2019.

0.1% exhibition at NAVEL

As part of the upcoming program 0.1% organized by Dr.Yewande Pearse, NAVEL is looking for artworks, texts, as well as scientific projects that demystify how genomics inform identity. We are looking for artworks, ranging from sculpture and 2D work to video, film, text, sound, performance, AR/VR, immersive and/or participatory projects, that address the sociopolitical and/or psychological implications of readily available genetic information.

Say goodbye to the average work-study program! At The Muse Brooklyn, our hearts beat circus and our workstudy students are the backbone of our community. From being the face of our front desk, to transforming our studio into whatever fun event we happen to be hosting, this program promises to utilize the skills and interests of every individual, while giving opportunities to build and refine professional circus skills in our state-of-the-art studio in Brooklyn.
