Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2018: Call for Entries

Artists are invited to submit entries for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2018, the largest and longest running annual open exhibition dedicated to drawing in the UK.

The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize is led by founding Director Professor Anita Taylor at Bath Spa University and supported by the Trinity Buoy Wharf Trust. Selected from original art works, the annual exhibition has established a reputation for its commitment to championing excellence and in promoting and celebrating the role and value of current drawing practice within the UK.

The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize, previously known as Jerwood Drawing Prize, is open to UK-based drawing practitioners, from student to established. This open exhibition is a platform for all drawing practitioners in the UK to showcase their work alongside leading contemporary artists in the field.

An independent panel of selectors will select up to 70 drawings for an exhibition that will launch at Trinity Buoy Wharf, a thriving centre for the arts and creative industries. The exhibition will subsequently tour to venues nationwide. A First Prize of £8,000; Second Prize of £5,000; and a Student Award of £2,000 will be awarded at a private ceremony at Trinity Buoy Wharf in September 2018.

Online registration for artists entering the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize will close at 5pm on 27 June 2018. Once registered, applicants can submit their works through one of the regional Collection Centres.

Lab.10 art contest

Lab.10 art contest, is a call for submissions open to all kind of artists. Works allowed in the art competition are: drawings, paintings, sculptures, photographs, graphics, mix media and video. Awards -- Best in Show is $1,000.00 and total awards are $3,200.00.
Awards will be given by Parsons at the reception. The reception date will be determined shortly. Artists do not have to be present to receive awards. Checks will be mailed after the reception.

Entry Fee -- There is a $10.00 fee per entered artwork with a minimum of two entries and a maximum of five entries (i.e. $20.00 for two artworks and $50.00 for five artworks). Fees are non-refundable. Checks and money orders should be made payable to the Twin City Art Foundation.

ViewPoint Gallery 2018 International Photography Competition

ViewPoint Gallery Halifax

The ViewPoint Gallery 2018 International Photography Competition gives artists the opportunity to exhibit in the vibrant arts community of Halifax, Nova Scotia, home of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.

Announcing ViewPoint Gallery's sixth international juried call for submissions. This is an opportunity to exhibit your work for one month at ViewPoint Gallery, the only gallery in Halifax devoted to inspiring, engaging, educating & promoting the art of photography. The competition is open to all subject matter.

12 winning images will be selected from the digital entries. One winner will be exhibited monthly. These winning images will be professionally printed, framed, exhibited and offered for sale by ViewPoint Gallery starting in June, 2018. In addition, winners will have their work publicized by the gallery with media/press releases and the images will be promoted on Viewpoint's website, newsletter and Facebook page. Deadline for entries is April15, 2018.
