Call For Art: Winter Print Issue Celebrating Emerging Contemporary Artists

Call For Art!

Create! Magazine is proud to present our incredible guest curator for this issue, Daniel Raphael Gallery, a Contemporary Art Gallery based in Marylebone, London with a focus on emerging artists.

Open call • Food Studio (an open kitchen for art, theory and politics)

In the framework of this residency program, we are looking for projects where food grows to become one the media of contemporary art. We are particularly interested in concepts where the kitchen is conceived as common ground for a better understanding, where foodstuffs count as political, historical, and cultural beings. We would like to provide a space to projects examining the social dimension of food and which would consider working with Prague’s art scene, our international community of residents, and – last but not least – MeetFactory employees.

Open call • Performance studio

For this residency program we are looking for artists active in the field of performance. We are especially interested in interdisciplinary projects connecting performance and visual arts and theory.

MeetFactory is a non-profit international centre for contemporary art. Our mission is to foster a dialogue between individual genres and make current developments on the art scene accessible to the broadest public. We support original projects in the fields of visual art, theatre, and music, as well as interdisciplinary and experimental platforms. We aim to create a space in which art is alive and artists are present, enhancing a direct exchange between international artists and visitors, as well as between different fields and generations.

Pigeon Review is looking for art from artists of all levels. From a cluttered room or a cup of coffee to an inquisitive face, we like art that tells a story. Mediums that we accept are traditional and digital paintings, illustrations, photography, and sculpture.

"First step" - A multidisciplinary Zine

After a long pandemic that is still ongoing, it's time to take a small "first step" towards something new. The theme of our Zine's first issue is called  "First step" for a reason. We don't want to focus on isolation and quarantine anymore, we want to celebrate creativity in its nascent form. "First step" is open to any interpretation. It could mean the first poem you wrote, the first picture from a larger project, the first time you tried a new technique and succeeded, or even the first words from your novel. We want to encourage you to share your creation with confidence.

We accept the following formats: photography, painting, design, sculpture, poetry, and short essays.
