Ceramists around the world work with clay in a myriad of ways. Unlike any other material it has a plasticity and fluidity that can take on many forms and portray many textures. It can have an appearance of wood, stone, paper, glass, metal,…yet be of the same material. A medium as basic as this earth component, humble, elegant, surprising, otherworldly, with a history as long as civilization. What form does it take for you? The Claw is a brand new independent queer-run, queer-focused publication out of Seattle, Washington spotlighting artists in Washington State and beyond. Each issue will feature standout visual artists with information about them, their work, and where to find / follow them, as well as information on upcoming arts, cultural, and nightlife events, providing an all-in-one source for artists and readers alike to find opportunities and events within the community. Artists do not need to reside in Seattle to be considered for publication.
