ANTI-ART: The absence of Definition

Anti-art is a loose term that is applied to artistic forms that question the existing accepted definition of art or questions art in general. Anti-artwork may criticize certain aspects of art or artistic standards overall. As the 2020s continue to challenge our values, change our ideals, and force us to think outside of the box. The Milostka Exhibition Center is curating an exhibit that showcases the absence of established artistic practices and historically celebrated aesthetics.

This is an open call for art and artists who challenge traditional or popular art forms. Artists who have been inspired by dadaism, constructivism, surrealism, lettrism, neodadism, and more. We are blurring the artistic modern boundaries with diverse forms of expression.

On the Rise: Art, Action and Climate Justice

After decades of activism and multiple scientific studies that confirm the effects of climate change, we face now a global undeniable challenge to deal with the consequences of decades of environmental destruction.  Product of the impact of human actions on earth, climate change is a result of the increasing greenhouse gas emissions, the destruction of natural habitats, deforestation, pollution, animal agriculture, and contamination of soil and water. Drastically affecting life on earth, climate change will result in common floods, desertification,  the extinction of animal species, and also exacerbating the inequalities that already exist with the poverty of marginalized groups (such as indigenous communities around the world).

International Call For Art

THEME

Biosphere: Art, Animals & environment

“Biosphere – Art, Animals and Environment ” refers to the variety and abundance of life on Earth. It is considered as one of Earth’s most intricate and crucial features. Existence would be impossible without biological diversity. Biodiversity covers everything from humans to microorganisms and even things we don’t know much about. Biodiversity is not just about endangered or threatened species but also all living things.

We hope to raise awareness through this art call. Because Environmental art is intrinsically tied to both nature and science, on the other hand, art helps us better understand our complex relationship with nature.

International Artist Redidency 2022

FARM Studio International Artist Residency’s aim is to provide a rural, community-based open platform where creativity can unfold. Residents stay and create in a unique atmosphere and entirely new environment where they can develop their artwork free from accustomed distractions. Relationships form between the artists coming from different geographical locations and varied social, religious and cultural backgrounds. Here, collaboration and experimentation is encouraged. Many exciting exchanges and dialogues among artists take place. Farm Studio also promotes and celebrates the local community’s artistic and cultural identity while also introducing art and culture of others (Indian and International guests) back to the community.
