Open Call for artists of all disciplines: Adjacent to the world famous High Line walking park and a block from Gagosian Gallery, our New York Landmark site is an unavoidable meeting point for Armory Arts Week. Apply now and be recognized by our curatorial board with our award winner certificate and granted participation in both our onsite and online shows. Artists must submit a maximum of three original artworks of any medium or size through our online application form and will be judged by their aesthetics, originality and creative vision. You still have time to apply to the 13th Arte Laguna Prize! The deadline has been POSTPONED TO DECEMBER 19th, 2018 for all the ten categories.

Arte Laguna Prize is the international contemporary art competition that counts every year thousands of submissions from artists from all over the world. In addition to the cash prizes for the winners of the different sections, the stakes for the finalists are high: the selected works will be exhibited in March in the evocative spaces of the Arsenale of Venice.

The Burke Prize

Named for Marian and Russell Burke, two passionate collectors of craft and longtime supporters of MAD, the Burke Prize is an annual award that reinforces the Museum’s commitment to celebrating the next generation of artists working in and advancing the disciplines that shaped the American studio craft movement.

The prize is an unrestricted $50,000 award made to a professional artist age 45 or under working in glass, fiber, clay, metal, or wood.

Each fall, the Museum presents an exhibition of works by the Burke Prize finalists. The winner is announced at the MAD Ball, the Museum’s annual fundraising gala. Learn about the 2018 Burke Prize finalists and exhibition here.

The call for artists of the 13thArte Laguna Prize has officially opened. Arte Laguna Prize is the international art contest that has been promoting contemporary art for thirteen years, collecting thousands of applications from artists from all over the world, selected by a jury of excellence for the great exhibition in March in the evocative spaces of the Arsenale of Venice. In addition, the participants have the chance to win several awards in collaboration with companies, foundations, galleries, including cash prizes.
