Rise: Call For Art Exhibition Curated By Erika B Hess, Painter, Curator And Host Of The Podcast I Like Your Work

Call For Art Juried Virtual Exhibition

Theme: Rise

After a series of setbacks or a difficult season as artists, we often use our work to rise again. Art can be a form of healing, processing current events, or overcoming a personal struggle. What does it mean for you to rise again and again? What role does art play in your resiliency?

We are thrilled to invite you to participate in our juried virtual exhibition exploring this topic. We welcome all media, and the theme is open to the artist's interpretation.

Open Call for Artists, Curators & Researchers Trio

1a space is pleased to announce an open call for trio group(s) composed of an artist, a curator and a researcher to participate in the Mid-Career Artist Exhibition & Publication Series. In response to the shortage of mid-career retrospectives in Hong Kong and the need of documenting and researching the local art ecology, we aim to initiate a long-term commitment to a series of comprehensive solo exhibitions and high-quality publications dedicated to mid-career artists. Through demonstrating an artist’s creative process in a thorough and inclusive manner to the general public, the project serves to acknowledge and encourage prolonged artistic practices.

WORKS: Works related to the theme with any technique, including multimedia are welcome.

Eco Echo – online art exhibition

Applications are now open for our online exhibition “Eco Echo”. We are looking for artworks centered on the theme of the environment and the natural world, nature’s interconnected web and delicate balance. Artworks that raise awareness about environmental issues. Artworks that open our minds to philosophical ideas about our own connection to nature. Realistic landscapes or abstracts of natural phenomenon; spirituality or scientific observations; memories of a walk through tall trees, or patterns observed in desert; splashing rivers, or plastics found in the ocean. We want to discover the voice of nature through your artworks.

SIILK GALLERY - ATHENS OPEN CALL

We aim to exhibit influential and controversial emerging visual artists who belong to underground / alternative scenes from cities around the world that produce their art independently. We look for talents whose attitude and lifestyle inform their technique and work. We want our audiences to be exposed to beautiful and meaningful imagery
