About show

With this new event, PRIMO PIANO wants to focus attention on those points of intersection between politics and art, history and the present, social norms and individual rebellion.

ELEGIBILITY: Worldwide artists can participate.

WORKS: Works related to the theme with any technique, including multimedia are welcome.

Eco Echo – online art exhibition

Applications are now open for our online exhibition “Eco Echo”. We are looking for artworks centered on the theme of the environment and the natural world, nature’s interconnected web and delicate balance. Artworks that raise awareness about environmental issues. Artworks that open our minds to philosophical ideas about our own connection to nature. Realistic landscapes or abstracts of natural phenomenon; spirituality or scientific observations; memories of a walk through tall trees, or patterns observed in desert; splashing rivers, or plastics found in the ocean. We want to discover the voice of nature through your artworks.

SIILK GALLERY - ATHENS OPEN CALL

We aim to exhibit influential and controversial emerging visual artists who belong to underground / alternative scenes from cities around the world that produce their art independently. We look for talents whose attitude and lifestyle inform their technique and work. We want our audiences to be exposed to beautiful and meaningful imagery

How the exhibits work:

Call for Art-TRUE BLUE

THEME
TRUE BLUE- The color blue is the most universally appealing color on the spectrum. It can represent trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, and sensitivity. But it can also convey fragility, depression, impersonality, and even coldness. There was a time when the pigment blue was the rarest and most precious shade of all. Some artists even went into debt just to use the color! With so many intriguing shades of blue to work and so many meanings and representations, show us TRUE BLUE through your perspective.

Tip of the Iceberg

CreARTives is pleased to announce the new contemporary art project titled: “TIP OF THE ICEBERG”. This open call invites artists of all disciplines to join a group exhibition that will take place at CreARTives Gallery, Leeds in England . Curated and organised by Izzy Currie and Jacob Talbot, the exhibition will explore the theme of “TIP OF THE ICEBERG” which hints at a much larger or more complicated topic than what originally meets the eye. As 90% of an iceberg is underwater, what you see could just be a suggestion of the whole thing.

QUEER COLLECTIVE: The Art of Coming Out

Marginal Art Projects announces a juried call for entries for QUEER COLLECTIVE: The Art of Coming Out, an interdisciplinary online exhibition.

The exhibition will feature artwork created by artists within the LGBTQIA+ community depicting thoughts on their coming out stories. Artists are encouraged to submit up to 3 images/media in participation. EXHIBITION THEMES LGBTQIA+ coming out experience: challenges, conflicts, and triumphs. Some identify early in life, while others later – some have full acceptance, while others deal with abandonment – some cling to their identity with open arms, while others struggle with it. Whatever the experience – all are unique, genuine and worthy of sharing in order to shed light on the full brevity of our existence. Share your story with us.
