2022 Artist-in-Residence Program- Mount Auburn Cemetery

In recognition of the talented artists inspired by Mount Auburn Cemetery, and as part of our Artist-in-Residence program, the Friends of Mount Auburn Cemetery (FOMAC) is awarding a small number of grants in 2022 to support artist projects. The grant must result in a deliverable product, program, or event that is created for and unique to Mount Auburn Cemetery. Planning grants will also be considered for larger projects to be completed in 2023, and funded projects may be scaled up.

Notification date: March 8, 2022

Project start date: April 1, 2022

End date: March 31, 2023

Blooming Arts Festival

LINDEN, Tenn. - The charming town of Linden, Tenn. is pleased to invite artists and makers to the 14th annual Blooming Arts Festival, March 25-26, 2022. The Blooming Arts Festival is Linden’s annual signature event and one of the region’s leading outdoor festivals. More than 150 artists registered in 2021. Festival attendance (pre-pandemic) reached in-excess of 10,000. The robust turnout ensures vendor success, while offering something for everyone both in selection and in price. 

“We anticipate our 2022 festival to be the best yet,” said Hayley Byrd, executive director, Blooming Arts Festival. “Artists and festival goers, along with the people of Linden, are ready to resume some normalcy, and that includes special events, outdoor festivals and small-town fun.”

Horatio's Garden is a fabulous charity that creates and nurtures beautiful gardens at NHS spinal injury centres. The spaces are stunning sanctuaries, created by well-known garden designers.

We’re looking for a wide range of creative people to join us to bring an exciting range of activities and workshops to suit patients of all ages and backgrounds in the garden across two of our Horatio's Garden sites:

Audiovisual Frontiers: Call for Works

The UCR Department of Music, in collaboration with UCR ARTS, will be presenting a virtual exhibition of selected audiovisual works entitled "Audiovisual Frontiers." We are looking for audiovisual works from a diversity of perspectives, aesthetics, affects, movements, and sensations that push the limits of the audiovisual. The deadline to submit is November 1, 2021. The first iteration of the exhibit will be launched on November 20, 2021, with a second launching in May 2022.
