Community, indepent and World Heritage residency

RaumArs hosts an international artist residency, where artists from all fields of art carry out community and participatory art projects, workshops, events and performances with local communities, groups and individuals. We encourage artists to apply with new projects that haven't been done here before.

RaumArs board of directors chooses 6-10 artists per year of which 2-3 artists or a working team will receive a stipend (accommodation free of charge, a small reimbursement for travel and production expenses and some assistance). Stipend will be allotted to the artists who work with local people in the region as community artists for 3–5 months. You can also apply for the residency as a working couple, but then the artists share the expenses and the residency room.
