Description:

We will be joined by Tom Best, Auctioneer and Director of The Auction Collective to discuss how emerging and underrepresented artists can show and sell artwork through art auction houses/ auction platforms and the secondary market. Art auctions take place all over the world, with online and smaller-scale auction houses presenting catalogues featuring early-career artists. It can be confusing to know how to navigate this part of the art market, to understand how artists get their work in front of collectors. In this session we will discuss:

The types of Auctions and How they Work

Opportunities with Online Auction Platforms

How to know if you are ready to sell via Auctions
