Statement :
My artistic production investigates the geography of lived spaces and its related patterns, following research that ranges from architectural photography to the study of cognitive processes.
Focusing on individual and collective behavior patterns in relation to our daily life habits and urban spaces, my work reflects on the relationship between our actions and living spaces, and aims to explore the social implications of everyday objects and the appearence of structures.
Untitled (vernissage)
This work is part of a series of pencil drawings which portrays crowded situations, and it is inspired by mathematical models used to study collective behaviors and dynamics of crowd movements. This series reflects on the possibility of observing patterns of general behavior dynamics, indeed, while it would be essentially impossible to accurately predict the behavior of individuals (due to the huge amount of variables physical, emotional, cognitive and social factors which influence it), when people are part of a group they behave similarly to particles moving in a fluid.
