Real Art Awards 2023

Real Art Ways is now accepting submissions for the 2023 Real Art Awards. This competition is open to emerging artists living and working in New England, New Jersey, or New York. Entries will be accepted through July 24, 2023. Apply online: www.realartways.org

Six chosen artists will receive a $2,500 cash prize, solo exhibition, professional documentation, commissioned essay, curatorial assistance, and more. There is no charge to participate.

Aki Sasamoto: Installation and performance artist, educator
Devin Kenny: Artist, writer, musician, curator
Will K. Wilkins: Executive Director, Real Art Ways

Eligibility:
Emerging artists living and working in New England, New York or New Jersey are eligible to apply to this call. By the term “emerging,” we mean artists who are less than 5 years removed from a full-time educational program, or artists with less than 5 years of exhibition experience. Artists who do not fit either of these criteria but feel they can make a compelling case to be considered as emerging may also apply; the jury will determine their competitiveness based on review criteria. Artists should not be enrolled in a degree program during the time of exhibition.
