Eligibility:

In the hope of collecting more submissions (particularly written responses), the open call for House Letters Issue 3 has been extended to Sunday 27 September. People of colour and those from marginalised and or under-represented backgrounds are especially encouraged to submit and their work – in all formats – will be prioritised. No formal creative experience necessary.

House Letters is a new independent and interdisciplinary online publication that engages with the uncertain times caused by COVID-19. Following publication of the first and second issues in May and August respectively, the third issue will explore the theme ‘Build and Dismantle’ and be published in November 2020.

Contributors are welcome to interpret the theme as they wish and responses could take the format of:

-Theoretical essays
-Narrative non-fiction
-Short fiction
-Poetry
-Artwork (including drawing, painting, illustration)
-Photographs
-Reviews
-Interviews
-Scripts

Successful submissions will be experimental and critically engaged, relating to the historical moment we are living through.

Deadline: Sunday 27 September 2020. Submissions will be reviewed after this date.
