Surreal reality

We'd like to suggest you apply to our open call. Your artwork can be displayed in a small venue in Berlin, in the heart of a hip district Friedrichshain.

The topic states "Surreal Reality". What is it for you? Maybe it looks familiar to what we know, but some details make it weird? Or maybe it is a micro-world that is far from what we see every day? Or it is an imaginary world full of creatures beyound "normality"?

Art format:
- This exhibition will feature video art on the given topic. We're happy to see videos of any length between 20s and 10 minutes. If it's outside of these borders, let us know, it may still work out. The videos can also be both with and without sound. The quality should be at least HD (720p).
- Please include your name/Instagram as a part of your video's credits, so the people can get to know you better afterward.
- The video can be anything, from abstract generated graphics to animated films to small video shots.

The format of the exhibition will be the following:
- The artworks will be displayed in the window of our venue in the evenings and at night times;
- During the daytime, the venue acts like a musical gear showroom, so the artworks will be displayed in the specially dedicated part of the venue;
- If you live not too far away and would like to ship us your business cards - feel free to do so, we'll make them accessible for the visitors.
- The artworks will be displayed between 22.07.2022 and 29.07.2022

Monetization of your artwork.
- If you have any merch that can be sold as a part of your artwork (postcards, posters, 3d figures, etc) and can be shipped to us, please let us know. We can also display it and you'll get 70% of what's sold, the remaining will be sent back to you. Shipping costs to be covered by the artist.

Fee:
- The application fee is 10 euros;
- The application fee to be sent to the paypal advt.ka@gmail.com with the description "Surreal Reality application";
- Paying the application fee doesn't give a guarantee of your participation.

How to apply:
The artwork should be sent to the following email: advt.ka@gmail.com
In your email please include the following:
- Subject "Application for the Surreal Reality exhibition".
- Link to download your video. You can use services like Dropbox or WeTransfer that allow you to share a download link to your video.
- Still frame or a static image that can be used to promote your video on the social networks and printed materials.
- Short bio of yourself, your social networks that you'd like us to mention.
- A description of your artwork as you'd like it to be included in the printed materials (max 50 words).
- Screenshot/receipt confirming the payment of the fee (paypal advt.ka@gmail.com).
