It is our honor to invite you to Mauser EcoHouse...an inspirational space in Magical Costa Rica. 

Our core philosophy at the residency is focused on Art, Permaculture and Health. As part of that ethos “Art in Harmony with Nature”, we are continually developing our permaculture and sustainability practices within the residency and in our garden and greenhouse.

It's imperative now with the current world circumstances that we take a time out to create the art that wants to move through us. As we navigate these global times of transition, it's crucial that we all open up to our creative potential. It is art that will become the architecture and beauty of the new world that is unfolding...

At our residency, you will have the opportunity to strengthen your mind, body and spirit through immersion in nature. We are committed to holding a clear and conscious space that allows you the perfect opportunity to express your art, reconnect yourself to the earth, and to heal and rebalance.

At the heart of the residency we place a strong focus on nourishing our bodies with healthy food made with love. It's a wholistic approach which is why we serve food and herbal medicine grown in our onsite greenhouse. We are located within a small community in the mountains yet surrounded by the lush jungle, with breathtaking views. The sunshine and crystal clean mountain water will serve as your medicine as well. 

The program focuses on furnishing artists with healthy gourmet delicious vegetarian meals (breakfast and dinner 5 days a week with ingredients that are either grown on site or locally and sustainably sourced), comfortable and beautiful accommodations, ample work space and serene surroundings so that individual or group projects can can flourish.

You will be surrounded by dozens of different species of birds, butterflies, insects, flowers and plants. It is common to have toucans, scarlet macaws, monkeys, coatis, and sloths pass through. There is a stream that runs through the lower half of the property.

We are blessed with phenomenal sunrises and sunsets and marvelous natural light all day.

The property contains numerous indigenous fruit trees, edible plants, herbs, and a working greenhouse. We are located within a small community in the mountains. Surrounding us is the jungle, breathtaking views, and miles of dirt roads and trails to meander, run or hike, and explore. There is a family owned restaurant, Mirador Donde Andres with delicious food a 2o minute walk away.

This is the ideal location for nature/landscape photographers/painters/dancers/music composers/sculptors/jewelry designers/writers/poets/plein air/visual/multi-media and installation artists.
