One with Everything invites submissions of artwork for  exhibition in central Edinburgh (18 April-10 May 2023)

At this time of booming creativity,  this exhibition, inspired by big themes, explores the  expanse between  individual and the universes,  overlapping of time and space, the dynamics between subjective and collective, the micro and macro cosmos, the tensions between ego and selflessness. It also consolidates experimental curation practices, to  make the most of the exhibition opportunity and advance the state of the art  Artists and creators are invited to submit abstract  and representational works in any medium, using a multiplicity of expressive languages and communication mechanisms.

2D and 3D physical, conceptual, short prose or poetry, audio visual and experimental media, technology based artworks, including soundscapes.

 Works should be original and not previously publicly displayed.

Paintings and prints should not exceed 60x60 cms, 3D sculptures should not exceed one cubic meter in volume, larger works can be considered by special arrangement

MATERIALS

Preference given to submissions innovative durable sustainable materials with the least environmental impact, including reclaimed materials, We are also considering performance arts, AV, soundscapes and in person workshops

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

Priority is given to original, non derivative creative  works with great visual impact, of transcendental estetic appeal.,conveying compelling messages. Original interpretation of the  themes, uniqueness, choice of materials and techniques. Preference will be given to works at the intersection of two or more themes. All works meeting the acceptance criteria will be evaluated anonymously by a panel of curators, and will be considered for inclusion.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION/BUILDING BRIDGES ACROSS BORDERS

HANGING FEE

Accepted artworks will be displayed at the exhibition, for the nominal hanging fee, which includes hanging, one page in the color catalogue a link to artist/web page/profile, a mention in the promotional exhibition promotional material plus a certificate of participation.  Works requiring special arrangement (oversize, overweight or installations) may be handled directly by the submitter. All artworks should be delivered on the day prior to the opening, and should be collected on the day after the closing of the exhibition, in person or via courier. Special delivery and collection by arrangement. Printing and framing for local works can be arranged at cost to be added to the hanging fee.

EXTENDED PARTICIPATION

Expressions of interest are invited from curators and art workers willing to participate in person or remotely to the organisation of the event and experimental curation practices. Students of art and technology, photographers and distributed collaborators are welcome. Contact us here
