Attention all artists! We are pleased to announce an open call for a curated group exhibition in Philadelphia that will be held at the newly opened Paradigm Gallery Arts Building. If you are looking for an opportunity to showcase your talent, connect with other creatives and show your art in person at a high-traffic location in the city’s bustling art scene, this is the perfect chance. 

 

Submissions are open for all mediums and styles with a size limit of 30 inches, and we encourage artists from all backgrounds to apply. Don't miss out on this chance to be a part of a dynamic and diverse art exhibition in the historic Old City nieghborhood of Philadelphia. In addition to being invited to show and attend an opening reception, the artists selected for the exhibition will also benefit from extensive marketing through all of Create! Magazine’s channels to our global audience of 250k+ readers and followers.

Theme: Chroma

We are seeking artists who explore color, vibrancy and intensity in their work. This theme is open to interpretation. 

 

The exhibition will be held in July 2023 and will be on view at the gallery for three weeks. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your work to collectors, curators, writers, art consultants and more. Create! Magazine has been supporting emerging artists since 2013 and we are excited to be coordinating this event in partnership with PxP Contemporary in Paradigm’s new space. We can’t wait to share your work with the greater Philadelphia arts community!

 

ELIGIBILITY: All artists from any country are welcome to apply with work in any medium: painting, sculpture, digital, printmaking, fiber, photography, mixed media, installation, and more. A university degree is not required to participate in our open call. Size must not exceed 30 inches on the longest side. 

 

‍SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: 3+ jpeg images of individual available artworks, a text document with a bio and artist statement, website or social media link, and your email address. Please see our form on Submittable below for full details. Please only submit work available for inclusion in this exhibition or have a very similar replacement if selected. 

 

COMMISSION: 40% commission will be applied to artwork sales (60% of the sale price goes to the artist).

 

Artwork will remain for sale on the PxP and Create! Shop for three months after the exhibition and stored in a secure facility.

 

‍SUBMISSION FEE: $35 for 3 images of individual artworks (non-refundable*) 

*Submission fees go towards supporting our art community and helping provide opportunities for artists. There are no additional fees if selected.

 

‍SELECTED ARTISTS: If your work is selected by our guest jurors, you will have the opportunity to participate in the summer group show in Philadelphia, PA from July 7-30, 2023. 

30 finalists will be accepted for this exhibition. 

 

All artists will be notified of the final decision by June 7, 2023. If your work is selected, you will receive further information about shipping, opening times and more. All selected work must arrive at the provided address by June 20, 2023.

 

AGREEMENT

Create! Magazine reserves the right to use images of the artwork in the exhibition, on our website and social media. By submitting artwork via this call, the artist agrees to the terms outlined above. The artist is responsible for shipping of the artwork to the gallery if accepted. The artist submitting their work understands that inclusion is not guaranteed as this is a juried opportunity. Artist retains full copyright of the work. Artists are responsible for ensuring their own work for shipping or exhibition. There are no additional fees for participating if selected for this opportunity.The gallery is a secure building with 24-hour security cameras.
