Request for Proposals 2020: Red Mill Gallery

Vermont Studio Center is pleased to announce our Request for Proposals 2020!

The Vermont Studio Center requests proposals from individuals, groups of artists or curators to present exhibitions in the Red Mill Gallery, at VSC for the calendar year of 2020.

Application Deadline: Monday April 20th, 2020.
Artists will be notified by May 1st, 2020

The mission of the galleries at VSC is to showcase the work of established visual artists, including resident artists at VSC and artists from the greater Vermont area. The VSC galleries attract visitors from across the region and bring new audiences to the studio center. The Red Mill gallery is best suited for solo exhibitions of an established artist.

Available Dates

- Exhibitions will last a minimum of four weeks and a maximum of six weeks and generally
change on a monthly basis.
- Set up for an exhibition occurs Friday through Saturday for the next session’s Welcome Dinner.
- The exhibition reception can happen anytime during the month and is encouraged to overlap with VSC’s bimonthly Open Studios.
- The installation of an exhibition is the sole responsibility of the individual artist and/or artist team.
- Exhibitions must be removed on the Thursday following the final Open Studios of that session.

Available dates for 2020:
5/10 - 5/30
7/5 - 7/30
8/2 - 8/27
8/30 - 9/24
9/27 - 10/22
10/25 - 11/19
11/22 - 12/17

- Applicants will be asked to select their top choice of dates and alternate dates available.
- All galleries participate in VSC’s Open Studios which take place on the second Thursday and the fourth Wednesday of each monthly session.
