AUTUMN RESIDENCY CALL 2019/2020

Can Serrat meant to support artistic and writing production, and to offer a working & living space, and resources for each resident.

Each jury (per each modality) selects 14 proposals per each open call to be part of the residency program.

• 1 full grant
• 1 of 70% stipend
• 1 of 50% stipend
• 1 of 30% stipend
• 10 self-funded invitations.

In addition and after publishing result, Can Serrat offers 5 supplementary 30% stipends* to be eligible to depending on distance and income criteria.

Conditions:

• A private or shared room during the residency (depending on option chosen)
• Shared working space during the residency.
• Access to shared spaces (kitchen, toilets, bathrooms, etc.).
• Food (half-board)
• Access to all equipment (printmaking studio, sound recording equipment, projectors)
• Possibility to organize workshop/debate in the residency
• Promotion through social media
• Human and technical resources
• Access to El Bruc’s Council exhibition space to organize a show at the end of the residency
• Connections with the local cultural scene
• Publication in the annual catalog of project in residency

[The grants do not include travel expenses.]

• Artist statement
• Recent work (+ webpage) + Project summary (500 words)
• CV/ Biography

B) RESEARCH WRITING  modality >>>

Required documentation:

• One PDF file named: “name_canserrat_Wcall_autumn”
• This file must contain:
• Writing statement (Can Serrat expects from the applicant to give the jury an understanding of her/his process of work, and informations about her/his actual field of research)
• Project summary (500 words)
• 3 pages recent work sample (max.) 
• a voice recording of the 3 pages excerpt or less sent (recorded with a phone is enough), read by the applicant her.him.self (accessible with a link in the pdf application)
• CV/ Biography

The language of application may be in Catalan, Spanish, French or English. Other languages won’t be accepted.

*only for self-funded invitations.
