Call For Art: Summer 2022 Print Issue Juried by Alayo Akinkugbe, @ABlackHistoryOfArt

Artists are invited to submit their work to a new juried call for entries for the Create! Magazine Summer’s Print Issue 2022.

We are proud to present our incredible guest curator for this issue, Alayo Akinkugbe.

Guest Curator:

Alayo Akinkugbe graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in History of Art in 2021, and she is the founder of the Instagram platform, @ABlackHistoryOfArt, which highlights Black artists, sitters, curators and thinkers from Art History and the present day. She is interested in all periods of art history, but her aim is to continually platform emerging and forgotten Black artists from all over the world, working towards a diversification of the way art is taught and presented in the West, encouraging a more global and inclusive approach to art and art history.

Eligibility

All are welcome. Our calls for entry are open to all artists from every country, background, and education level. All styles and media are welcome. There are no educational requirements to apply to the open calls.
