2024 Open Call for Artists and Curators

PAGUS is pleased to announce the 2024 Call for Artists and Curators. Our annual open call provides artists and curators the opportunity to realize an exhibition.  Emerging and underrepresented artists are strongly encouraged to submit.

Solo exhibitions are awarded to individual artist submissions.  Where applicable, artists will also be chosen for group exhibitions. Curators are encouraged to submit proposals for group exhibitions.  Each show is held in one of two gallery spaces at PAGUS.

Curators & Artists are welcome to submit proposals for 4 to 6 week exhibitions for work that would otherwise be challenging in a commercial setting. We believe the non-profit space can be part of a strong foundation for an emerging artist’s career.  Established artists may also want to depart from previous bodies of work and start on a new path.  The alternative space provides a venue for taking risks.

PAGUS is located in the Norristown Arts Building, a beautiful loft building that was once a costume factory.  Since 1996 we have been a 501(c)(3) non-profit showing high quality work by artists from across the United States.  It is our aim to be a vital resource for the local Philadelphia art community and to expand our audience and exhibition schedule.
