Primo Piano LivinGallery is pleased to announce the open call of NATURE AND SHAMANIC COSMOLOGY, for the III edition of Ionian Se-Art Residency Baroque Blue 2024, in Santa Caterina and Porto Selvaggio Reserve Park in South Italy.

In the previous editions of Baroque Blue, multidisciplinary works were presented made by over 50 artists, from 30 countries around the world. This year's residency focuses on the concept of nature and shamanic cosmology, which according to different historical cultures, religions, and philosophical systems, is an intrinsic connection between all the living entities on the planet (animal and plant world) in connection with the Cosmological World and which has intrinsic connections between contemporary art and nature.

The selected artists will have the opportunity to experience a unique experience, linked with the history and symbolism of Apulian shamanism, creating site-specific works in nature/studios. But also, through the inputs received during guided tours in some sacred places, caves and archaeological sites present in the area between the Adriatic and Ionian side. Their on-site art will be life experience as an individual in a community of artists, scholars, archaeologists, musicians.

Dates available:

• From 20 to 31 July – deadline May 10 ( there are 4 spots available)
• 24 August to 05 September – deadline June 10 ( there are 8 spots available)

The residency foresee housing in villa in Santa Caterina (on the sea and immersed in a pine forest with free wi-fi, air conditioning and all comfort with kitchen, private bathroom and rooms), equipment and basic stuff to work on site, excursion and guided tours between the Adriatic and Ionian side, exhibitions and performances and other special events during and at the end of the residency.  Our main goal is to offer high quality residences, with all-inclusive art and well-being in a beautiful and stimulating environment. You will return home, happy, rested and with new friends from all over the world!
